Hometown Proud

Our Commitment to The Community

In the heart of downtown Snohomish stands a landmark. A gathering place, a backdrop for cherished memories, and a symbol of the community’s enduring spirit. We’re honored to have helped restore this treasured space, ensuring it remains a place where memories are made and traditions continue for generations to come.

Historic Downtown Gazebo

The Avenue A Gazebo in downtown Snohomish has long stood as a cherished landmark, woven into the fabric of the community's most treasured moments. From heartfelt proposals and intimate weddings to festive family gatherings and the enchanting glow of holiday celebrations, this iconic structure has been a backdrop for countless memories.

Recognizing its significance, Palmer Bodin, owner of Nordic Roofing and Nordic Home Solutions, led a comprehensive refurbishment of the gazebo as a heartfelt gift to the community. The renovation included the installation of a new deck made from recycled plastic, fresh railings, a tongue-and-groove wood ceiling, and a cedar shake roof. This endeavor was made possible through the generous contributions of local contractors and volunteers, reflecting the collaborative spirit of Snohomish.

Built in 1976 to commemorate the nation's bicentennial, the gazebo continues to be a symbol of community pride and togetherness. At Nordic Home Solutions, we are honored to have played a role in preserving this beloved space, ensuring it remains a place where memories are made for generations to come.

Our Office in the Historic Downtown Firehouse

In addition to restoring local landmarks, we’re proud to call one home. Nordic operates out of the Historic Downtown Firehouse at the corner of 2nd Street and Avenue A—a cornerstone of Snohomish’s legacy. Built in 1927 to replace the town’s original wooden fire shed, this station stood as a safeguard for the city and its people. In 1938, a traffic light was added at the corner to help fire engines respond more safely and quickly.

It’s an honor to work each day in a space with such deep roots in community service. For nearly a century, this building has represented readiness, responsibility, and care for others—values that continue to shape our mission at Nordic. Being part of Snohomish’s living history is more than a privilege. It’s a reminder that service to our neighbors is at the heart of everything we do.
